My Curly Hair Saviours

Anyone with curly hair knows the daily struggles of battling frizz, crazy hair and tugs. It's a never ending cycle, you leave the house with nice hair and come home looking like Albert Einstein. And finding products that can tame the frizz slightly, glide through the tugs and reduce the look of being dragged through a hedge backwards, is a task and a half.

There are so many products out there that promise frizz free hair, long lasting hold or tug free brushing, but only a few actually do what they say. The amount of hair mousses and serums that I've tried over the years is beyond ridiculous. But finally, I have found products that work with my hair *parties*.

My first 'miracle worker' is the oh so famous tangle teezer. This little pink bundle of no-tug's gets A LOT of hype from both the YouTube and the blogging worlds,a and I have to say, it does live up to the hype.

My hair is full of knots, but this brush literally glides through them, wet or dry. For years I battled with hairbrushes getting stuck in my hair and having to go over the same spot again and again and again to get the knots out, but now I just brush each section once and it's knot free. I will forever be thankful to whoever invented this little beauty, no more painful brushing for me. At £12.99 it's not exactly the cheapest, but if you have curly, thick, knotty hair, then it's 100% worth the money.

My next 'saviour' is my very well loved Aussie Dual Personality Curl Definition and Soft Feel Serum, could the name get any longer?
I have used this serum for around 2 years now and I don't plan on stopping any-time soon. It's perfect for when the weather is warmer (and less windy) as it's very light and keeps everything frizz-free for around 8-9 hours, which is pretty good going (for my hair anyway)! However, in the wind this does not do anything for my hair as it doesn't have much of a hold to it and my hair just goes into full on crazy mode.

I really like the fact that this has a pump on it, there is nothing worse than having to pour a serum onto your hand and it all spilling out. This tube of delight also smells like peaches and the smell lasts most of the day which is always nice.

Speaking of nice smelling products, this leads me on to a hair mousse that I use for windy days (and trust me, we get a lot of those up in Scotland).

The windy day mousse that I'm speaking about is the Wella Shockwaves Curls and Waves Mousse. I have this in number 3, which for the record I have no idea what it means but I'm guessing it has something to do with the hold?

The reason this is perfect for windy days is because it has such a strong hold, your hair can blow about as much as it wants but it always goes back to the same position. I don't use this every single day though because it can sometimes be a little bit crispy and hard which isn't the most pleasant. It has the usual nozzle for dispensing the mousse that all mousses have and it smells really nice, kind of like sweeties. I haven't tried any of the other numbers but please let me know if you have.

The final 'saviour' is what I call the 'back-up'. I rarely use this because I have my mousse and my serum but some days I just feel like a change and reach for the John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Control Styling Gel. What is it with hair products and their super long names? *catches breath*

This gel pretty much does the same thing as my hair serum, apart from the fact that it is a gel and has a bit more of a sticky feel to it. I have the 'Medium to Unruly Frizz' formulation (they should make a 'out of control frizz one, that would be good) and in terms of controlling frizz, it does a pretty good job. My only pick with this product though is that it is quite sticky and weird to apply, but it works so I can't exactly complain too much, can I? Fun fact for you all, my papa is called John and my granny is called Freda and my mum uses this range of products in her hair, pretty cool I'd say;)

Apologies for this post being up later than normal, I got a terrible migraine-y headache last night and was unable to finish typing this post, but I'm all better now! If you have any recommendations of products that you think I might like, please comment down below as I love trying new things!

Also whilst I'm here I'd like to say THANKYOU for 300 followers on Bloglovin'!!! I can't actually believe how far my little blog has come, I'm so happy and thankful for all the support! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!
