Rimmel Apocalips

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, my first ever post today is going to be on the Rimmel Apocalips.

Now, I know you're probably all thinking 'wow, she's late on the bandwagon with this' but the truth is, I've owned a couple of them for a few months, I just thought this would be a good starting point on my blog.
Rimmel claim these to be 'a lusciously creamy, conditioning formula that lasts and lasts.'  Here are my thoughts on these claims.

Firstly before I go into any more detail about the product, I would just like to point out how lovely the packaging is. It completely fits Rimmel's 'out of this world' theme.  The packaging doesn't feel at all cheap and feels very sturdy.

The shade I am reviewing is shade 101, 'Celestial'.  I love this colour, it's a sort of 'your lips but better' colour and I am so in love with it. It has a lovely creamy consistency and is incredibly pigmented.

As you can see here, the Rimmel Apocalips have incredible pigmentation. I completely agree with the statement that they're 'creamy' because they really are lovely.

As shown above, there is a sort of doe foot applicator with a hole in the middle to apply the lip lacquer.  I've seen a lot of people grumble about it and say it's 'stupid' or 'pointless' but I think it's rather clever as it holds the perfect amount of product to do all your lips and you don't have to keep dipping the applicator in and out for more product.

Above I am wearing one layer of product.  I believe that this is enough but you can layer it up more if you want.

Rimmel claim that the apocalips 'last and last'. That is one statement that I disagree with.  They last 2-3 hours, 4 if you're lucky, but if you eat or drink at any time, you will have to reapply as these are NOT transfer resistant.
Another niggle I have with these is the smell. They smell of plastic, and it isn't the most pleasant.

Overall, I really like the Rimmel Apocalips.  Although they are a hassle when eating and drinking and the smell isn't the most pleasant, they have a lovely formulation and look really nice on the lips.

You can buy Rimmel Apocalips here for £5.99
