I'm a Beauty Blogger- Get Me Out Of Here!

So I've seen this tag going round lots of blogs and seeing as I've never done a tag before, I thought it would be quite fun to do:) I wasn't tagged by anyone but a lot of people have tagged 'any bloggers who wish to do it', so here I am.

It's that time of year again where I'm a Celeb comes back onto our screens and for 3 weeks, at 9pm (or around that time) we all stop what we're doing and watch as celebs eat bugs, get covered in bugs and all that yuckiness. It's basically gag-central. Our ideas of entertainment are seriously weird nowadays.
This tag was originally created by Rochelle and Natasha from next-route-style.blogspot.co.uk.

So without further ado- I'm a Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Hereeeeeeeee!!

 1) You can only take ONE product into the jungle (aka your luxury item). What would you choose and why?

Lip balm, definitely lip balm. I can't stand my lips being dry and cracked and I can only imagine how dry they'd get in the Australian heat.

2) What would be your pre-jungle worry?

The cockroaches. Definitely the cockroaches. I cannot stand the things. Even thinking about them makes me shiver, eww.

3) You only have 5 minutes to get ready before going into the jungle, what would be your quick beauty routine?

To be honest, I just wouldn't do anything as any makeup would just melt right off my face in the heat.

4) Last year we saw Helen Flanagan wearing her hair in a top bun. What would be your signature hairstyle?

Definitely a messy bun. Having naturally curly hair makes it sooo easy to do and it takes seconds.

 5) For moral support, which female celebrity would you like to be in the jungle with you?

Ermm, I don't know if she classes as a celebrity but in my eyes she is one, anyways I'd like Zoella to be in the jungle with me because she's amazing and I love her.

 6) Everyone’s given a role in the camp. What lifestyle skill would you bring to the jungle?

I'd probably bring my organisational skills, because I'd be tidying the camp all the time! I can't stand unorganised living areas, or in this case, camps.

7) What one thing about being a beauty blogger sometimes makes you want to scream ‘Get Me Out Of Here’?

Time. As much as I love blogging, fitting it around school and making sure your posts are up on time can sometimes be really hard.

8) Challenge – This is a once in a life time opportunity. You’re up for a trial to face your fears or try something new, what would you choose to do and why?

I wouldn't choose a task that would get my to face my fears, no way. But I would probably choose to do the trial 'Bed Bugs' where you have to sleep overnight with some sort of bug/animal in with you. I would only do it though if I got lizards in my bed because lizards are very cute.

And that is it for this post:) I hope you all enjoyed reading my answers and maybe some of you agree with me on some. Anyways I loved doing this post, so please comment below if you'd like to see more tags.

And as for tagging people, I tag EVERYONE. Well everyone who wishes to do this tag:)

25 Facts About Me

As you can probably guess from the title, this is going to be a '25 Facts About Me' post.
Now I'm aware that I only just posted something yesterday and I have previously said that I'd be posting once a week, but last night, I hit 200 page views (eek)! I know to a lot of people it doesn't seem that much, but to me, it's such a great achievement.
I only started this blog last month and to have already gotten 200 page views is incredible. I am hoping my blog will continue growing and I'd like to thank everyone who has taken time to read my blog. Thank you all so so much.
Now on with the actual post..
  1. My name is Kirsty and I am 14 years old.
  2. I was born in Scotland, I still live here and I plan on living here for the rest of my life.

Yepp, I'm a little bit obsessed, these aren't even half.

  13. I am a Potterhead and proud, I love Harry Potter an unreal amount.
  14. My favourite book ever has to be Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows because it's just incredible, there's nothing more to really say.

  15. I hate the dark, and I can never sleep with my feet outside the covers because.. well you all know why (monsters).

  18. I have a weird love for reed diffusers, they just smell so good.
  19. I hate it when people are disorganized or really bad at time keeping because I am probably the most organized person you'll ever, ever meet.
  20. I do not like Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper or anything that tastes remotely like Coke.
  21. I have a strange addiction to skittles and ice tea (peach flavour of course.)
  22. I will eat anything because I'm really not fussy at all, unless it's mince and tatties, then I will most definitely not eat it.
  23. I have way more lipstick than I should probably have.
  24. I spend way longer than is healthy on YouTube and on the Boots website.
  25. I have a serious love for Winnie The Pooh, I have Tigger slippers and when I saw them, I ran across the shop shouting 'IT'S TIGGER OH MY GOD'. I am normal, I promise..
    They're so cute though..
  26. They even have tails, I mean, I couldn't exactly leave them there could I?
Now I have finished my '25 Facts About Me'.  That was a lot harder than I thought it would be so I hope you didn't find that too boring. Maybe some of you can relate to some things I've told you about myself? Hopefully;)

Rimmel Apocalips

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, my first ever post today is going to be on the Rimmel Apocalips.

Now, I know you're probably all thinking 'wow, she's late on the bandwagon with this' but the truth is, I've owned a couple of them for a few months, I just thought this would be a good starting point on my blog.
Rimmel claim these to be 'a lusciously creamy, conditioning formula that lasts and lasts.'  Here are my thoughts on these claims.

Firstly before I go into any more detail about the product, I would just like to point out how lovely the packaging is. It completely fits Rimmel's 'out of this world' theme.  The packaging doesn't feel at all cheap and feels very sturdy.

The shade I am reviewing is shade 101, 'Celestial'.  I love this colour, it's a sort of 'your lips but better' colour and I am so in love with it. It has a lovely creamy consistency and is incredibly pigmented.

As you can see here, the Rimmel Apocalips have incredible pigmentation. I completely agree with the statement that they're 'creamy' because they really are lovely.

As shown above, there is a sort of doe foot applicator with a hole in the middle to apply the lip lacquer.  I've seen a lot of people grumble about it and say it's 'stupid' or 'pointless' but I think it's rather clever as it holds the perfect amount of product to do all your lips and you don't have to keep dipping the applicator in and out for more product.

Above I am wearing one layer of product.  I believe that this is enough but you can layer it up more if you want.

Rimmel claim that the apocalips 'last and last'. That is one statement that I disagree with.  They last 2-3 hours, 4 if you're lucky, but if you eat or drink at any time, you will have to reapply as these are NOT transfer resistant.
Another niggle I have with these is the smell. They smell of plastic, and it isn't the most pleasant.

Overall, I really like the Rimmel Apocalips.  Although they are a hassle when eating and drinking and the smell isn't the most pleasant, they have a lovely formulation and look really nice on the lips.

You can buy Rimmel Apocalips here for £5.99
